Rolex Submariner and Sea-Dweller “COMEX”

Close cooperation between Rolex and Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises (COMEX) began in 1963. Led by Henri Germain Delauze (*1929 in Cairanne (Vaucluse); † in Marseille), the company is one of the pioneers of deep sea diving and still enjoys a worldwide reputation as a specialist in overpressure technology and underwater work. In 1972, two of the company’s divers conducted a simulated test dive; 600 metres deep, 18 days in a pressure chamber in a high-percentage helium atmosphere. Since then, the company’s divers have worn Rolex Submariner and Sea-Dweller models
