Rolex Day-Date

The peculiarity of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date is, true to its name, the weekday display on the dial. In 1956, Rolex presented this technical sensation, the Day Date being the world’s first wristwatch that displayed both the date and the spelled-out weekday in windows on the dial. Together with the Day-Date, the specially developed President bracelet was presented, until today the epitome of a luxury watch. The new model carried conviction from the outset with its performance features, which of course it largely shared with its predecessors Datejust and Oyster Perpetual.
